The low-cost iPhone that can be another variant of the upcoming new iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 has been rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. This rumor originally came from Detwiler Fenton, and according to him Apple might use this chip due to its capability of integrating Wi-Fi & Bluetooth directly in the main chip. Such a decision from Apple would definitely save it a lot of money.
In fact, China Times have confirmed this with its report of Apple making contact with TSMC to manufacture Snapdragon chip by using 28-nanometer process. Moreover, it even states that the Apple would produce low-cost iPhone 3G with the main motive to save more on its costs. The chip is available in either LTE or 3G, and it totally depends on Apple which one it would like to choose.
But still, there are few individuals like MacRumors who feel that Apple would definitely go for its conventional chips than the ones produced by Qualcomm.
Macotakara, a Japanese blog made reports last month which stated that the Apple initially had plans to launch its low-cost iPhone by this year itself, but due to some reasons Apple postponed its release. This report also says that this new iPhone might come with a polycarbonate body which would be quite similar to older plastic MacBook and its cost would be around $330.

This blog even says that the new iPhone will come with a 4.5 inch screen. And it’s not for the first time that such reports have been made. In fact last month itself DigiTimes made similar claims regarding the new low-cost version with bigger display.
Macotakara even claims that this plastic body iPhone with larger screen will be much more ticker than iPhone 5 and that’s due to the kind of material used in creating it.
Moreover, the blog also reveals that the new iPhone 5S will be released in the latter half of this year and might feature a dual-LED flash system meant for rear camera.
Macotakara is a reliable blog as it had made accurate predictions regarding iPod Nano & iPod Touch new designs previous year. But at the same time, it made wrong speculations regarding the report of iPod Nano to come with Wi-Fi capability for supporting iTunes in cloud.

Thanks for sharing thoughts about iphone 6. But where did you confirm that it would come with Snapdragon S4 processor Also, you mentioned that it would come with new and bigger display in low cost. I hope Apple doesn’t compromise the quality or it would encounter defekts and there would be need for Iphone 5/6 display reparatur.
